Beginnings

Well this is the beginning. The beginning of my blog! I have been a "blurker" for a long time, I confess. I have so enjoyed getting glimpses into so many people's lives that I may not have seen otherwise. It's so fun to see pictures, get recipes, hear people's different struggles and get updates from out-of-towners! I just thought I didn't have the time (which I'm still not sure how often I'll get to update) or the creativity to have my own blog. But tonight I had to create a blog as a requirement for one of my classes and, realizing how easy and fun it is, I decided to do a personal one as well! So here we go!

This week was also the beginning of my senior year at ODU. I'm on the third day in, and I'm already pulling my hair out. It's not going to be an easy semester. With three English classes and two history classes I'll basically have my nose buried in one book or another at every waking (and some not so waking) moment. There will be many late nights and days where I'm scrambling to get dinner and housework accomplished and papers completed, and there will probably be some tears. But God will give me the grace to accomplish what he has called me to. He will be faithful to sustain me. This I know. I am so grateful that He has blessed me with a husband who is so gracious and understanding! Steve has been so supportive and encouraging to me this week as I've started back. He continually asks what he can do for me, gives me massages, and he's told me that he'll even cook dinner for me if I need him to! He's such a sweetie :)
